Job Title: Caregiver Support Specialist

At Caregiver Inc, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic individual to provide direct support and care to our clients. As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating daily living activities, providing training and assistance, and promoting independence and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, and housekeeping skills.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to clients in training activities and daily routines.
  • Aid in mobility and assist with meal service, promoting social skills and personal dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Act as a Primary Person (P2) for clients, ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times.
  • Attend and complete in-service training sessions as scheduled.
  • Participate in the Individual Support Team and contribute to the development of client ISPs.
  • Monitor client activities to ensure safety and health care practices are observed.
Requirements:
  • A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record are preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
