Transportation Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Engineer to join our team at eTeam. As a key member of our network delivery team, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end technical oversight for transport network deliveries to In-Building/Venues.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement all equipment and infrastructure supporting In Building Venue projects, including DWDM and SONET Optical transport systems.
- Collaborate with local markets on designing and implementing the latest transport technologies in support of our 5G network rollout.
- Utilize an internal database to document all fiber assets and design end-to-end circuit paths.
- Develop and Maintain circuit delivery schedules for each project and actively manage vendors to meet deliverables.
- Run Utilization Reports to evaluate capacity and issue design changes as needed to maintain optimal performance of the fronthaul, backhaul, and microwave networks.
- Work with Network Planning on strategic initiatives to develop future technology solutions that support our infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Other Network Groups to ensure projects meet expectant demands in support of the company's objectives.
- Manage Capital Spending on a monthly basis to align with forecasted spend and project timelines.
- Complete Transport-Related Milestones using engineering tools such as Conquest, Granite, FUZE, etc.
- Provide Technical Expertise in IP assignment.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
- Three or More Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Prior Client Experience with Client or One Fiber
- Construction and Transport Management Experience
- In-Depth Experience with LEC ASR Systems
- In-Depth Experience with Telcordia Granite Inventory
- Telecom Experience Including Ethernet, T1, DS1, DS3, SONET
- Experience in Office Computer Applications
- Valid Driver's License
- Master's Degree in Telecommunications or Engineering
- Excellent Analytic, Interpersonal, and Communication Skills
- Ability to Balance Technical and Business Requirements
- Excellent Organizational and Planning Skills
- Ability to Maintain Performance Level Under Varying Degrees of Pressure and Uncertainty
- Flexible and Creative
- Willingness to Work Flexible Hours and Support Night or Weekend Work as Needed
- Experience in Telecommunications/Data Networking or Wireless Industry
- Strong Networking Experience
- Working Knowledge of Client/ALU, Fujitsu FW9500/FW4100, and Ciena 6500
- Working Knowledge and Experience with Navis INC and ALU 5620 SAM Network Management Systems
- Familiarity with Project Management Tools
- Familiarity with IP Assignments
