Job Title: Associate Director Network Performance

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Network Performance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the operational management, strategic roadmap, and technical guidance of our Radio Access Network (RAN) Assembly, Wire and Test (AWAT) and Pre-stage Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of supply chain and network professionals to support the operation and expansion of these programs within Verizon's RDCs.
  • Build and foster relationships with multiple organizations within Verizon, including RAN Engineering Submarkets, Central Engineering, Engineering Operations & Support, Network Supply Chain Planning, Network Warehousing, and 3rd party partners and material suppliers.
  • Lead a team of professionals, planning and reviewing their work, removing barriers, and solving problems to help them be productive.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture that focuses on developing the best customer experience.
  • Set clear team goals for both short-term and long-term initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in working capital and expense savings.
  • Identify and drive business transformation initiatives for the team and continue to look for innovative solutions to drive cost out of the business.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and supply chain professionals and grow them both personally and professionally.
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met, resources are allocated effectively, and project goals align with overall company and leadership objectives.
  • Continuously review and improve processes related to the assembly, testing, and software loading of hardware to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize errors.
  • Analyze industry trends and best practices to determine value and drive change standardization where appropriate to gain efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance on technical issues related to the build and staging processes, including troubleshooting and problem-solving of complex process-related issues.
  • Collaborate and drive partnerships with multiple organizations within Verizon to drive overall success of the program.
  • Drive end-to-end quality throughout the AWAT and Far Edge Process, maintaining customer satisfaction and driving.
  • Solicit feedback from the Verizon Network teams to drive continuous improvement while educating them of benefits of Same Unit Repair and ensuring they have the proper tools available to support our customers.
  • Ensure customer-centric culture and work to root cause and eliminate defects in the process.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards in all required regulations.
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators related to program performance, project timelines, and quality.
  • Identify and implement improved reporting mechanisms, removing manual effort, and automating end-to-end reporting processes.
Requirements:
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience in technical operations, vendor, or account management roles.
  • Even better if you have one or more of the following:
    • A Master's degree.
    • Strong team leadership skills.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.
    • Lean Six Sigma Experience.
