As a Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist at St. Vincent's Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with the treatment team, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives, and interventions as needed.
- Implement nursing plans of care for assigned patients, including group therapy sessions and individualized interventions.
- Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise care plans accordingly.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel, consistent with their level of education and expertise.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred.
