Behavioral Health Nurse

As a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing individualized care plans, conducting and leading group therapy sessions, and collaborating with the treatment team to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Conduct initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs of patients.
- Develop and document comprehensive plans of nursing care in collaboration with patients and families to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct patient care according to physician's orders and protocols, ensuring accurate documentation in patient medical records.
- Evaluate and recognize changes in patients' physical and psychosocial status, revising care plans as necessary.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel, consistent with their level of education and expertise.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred.
