About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our Cardiovascular OR team at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides expert assistance to surgeons during operations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate efficiency in the operating room.
  • Demonstrates expertise in sterile technique, instrumentation, and equipment setup.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and a recognized Surgical First Assistant program.
  • Two years of OR Scrub Technician experience.
  • Certified Surgical Technician and Certified Surgical First Assistant Certification (CSFA).
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
