Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Evaluation: Conduct thorough investigations of complex commercial liability claims, identifying potential exposures and ensuring accurate and timely reserving.
  • Coverage Analysis: Evaluate coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities, ensuring that all relevant factors are considered and that the best possible outcomes are achieved.
  • Expert Witness Management: Retain and utilize experts as necessary to support claims evaluations and resolution strategies.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including policyholders, claimants, and counsel, to negotiate and resolve claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Resolution Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective resolution strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for AmTrust Financial Services.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years' experience in the handling or litigating of complex commercial liability claims.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills required to navigate our paperless claim file system.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possesses a high level of technical claim and legal knowledge and skills, with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Home designated home state adjuster license preferred, CPCU designation/AIC certification preferred.
