Job Overview

The Berman Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating legal matters related to personal injury claims. Your primary focus will be on negotiating settlements, coordinating with insurance companies, and preparing cases for potential litigation if a settlement cannot be reached.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation and Case Evaluation: Meet with clients to discuss their personal injury claims, gather and analyze relevant information, and determine liability and identify potential parties responsible for the injuries.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Communicate and negotiate with insurance companies, opposing attorneys, and other involved parties to reach fair settlements for clients, evaluate settlement offers, and advise clients on the best course of action.
  • Documentation and Case Preparation: Prepare and draft demand letters, organize and compile evidence, medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documents to support the case, and calculate damages accurately.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on the case's progress, answer any questions, and educate clients about the legal process, their rights, and potential outcomes.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution: Explore alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration, to achieve efficient and satisfactory outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Empathetic and client-focused approach to handling cases.
