  • Pre-Sales: Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, ensuring that our sales team has the necessary information to close deals.
  • Sales Calls: Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls, providing expert guidance and answering customer and partner questions on features, specifications, and functionality.
  • Post-Sales: Be the lead technical contact for identified accounts, working closely with our technical support team and engineering to resolve customer technical issues.
  • Training and Support: Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training, ensuring they have the necessary skills to get the most out of our solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
  • 5-7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
  • Solid understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and anti-virus technologies.
  • Proven understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES technologies.
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • The Channel Systems Engineer will be required to work outside of their office or home office, engaging in selling activities, including travel as needed to make a sale.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Graduate Degree favorable.
