Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Therapist to join our team in Cary, NC. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans and provide direct support to enhance students' speech and language skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students with varying communication needs
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, utilizing evidence-based practices and strategies
  • Conduct screenings and assist in the assessment process to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, including progress notes and reports
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address student needs and develop effective intervention plans
  • Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in communications therapy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
  • State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Experience in a school environment preferred but not required; strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to creating a positive learning environment
