Role Overview
Sunbelt Staffing, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and indirect services to a school district.
Job Summary
This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team of professionals and make a positive impact on the lives of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children with varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students using comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Create tailored treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on their strengths and challenges.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Offer individual and group therapy sessions to support students' progress and address specific goals.
- Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that promote student success.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly assess student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and help set achievable goals for students.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, adhering to state and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- A current Illinois state SLP License.
- Pel Certification.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary Information: Hourly rates start at $45, with rates based on experience level and qualifications.
