About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Solar Independent Engineering team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and coordinate the technical review process among internal specialists, including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams.
  • Perform overall project management activities and ensure excellent customer communication as the key point of contact for the execution of due diligence engagements.
  • Perform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines.
  • Discuss and resolve technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists.
  • Develop and win proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work.
  • Coordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities.
  • Support customers through the financial closings of projects.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activities.
  • Advance team and industry thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science, business, energy, or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the solar industry.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and deft project and time management skills, including an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in MS Office.
  • Solution-oriented thinking skills and high integrity.
  • Understanding of energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting systems/trackers, balance of system, etc.).
  • Supportive and proactive team member, eager to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven HSE mindset and demonstrated behavior-based safety mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Some concentration of experience in at least one of the following: solar industry construction and operating contracts, solar project construction, operations/asset management, solar project design/development, module/inverter technology, energy assessment, power marketing/offtake contracting, energy storage technology and implementation, market research/policy, or in the independent engineering function.
  • Familiarity with budgets and financial models.
  • Working knowledge of PVsyst and solar energy assessment.
  • Working knowledge of the solar project financing process (direct experience preferred).
  • Project management designation or experience.
  • Familiarity with energy storage systems.
