Position Overview

The Clinical Specialist serves as a vital resource in executing the clinical business strategy for Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS). This role is instrumental in implementing clinical programs and initiatives that set apart the MDS product line through enhanced clinical outcomes and process improvements, potentially leading to reduced costs.

The Clinical Specialist's expertise and qualifications bolster the credibility of recommendations made to clients, thereby enhancing customer service and support. This support is delivered through the promotion of best practices and the facilitation of educational initiatives.

As a Clinical Specialist, you will be engaged in conversion management, product implementation, and training related to MDS products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage responsibilities within the designated Travel & Expense budget.
  • Provide regular updates to the Clinical Manager regarding regional training activities and support.
  • Facilitate training sessions for customers to support conversion or retention efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Team to provide clinical support for customer engagements from pre-sale to post-conversion.
  • Establish strong relationships with end-users while delivering product in-servicing and clinical education.
  • Offer routine follow-up support to customers at their locations as necessary.
  • Conduct regional training for contractual nursing support as required.
  • Work alongside the Clinical Manager and Regional Business Manager to optimize scheduling and activities for maximum impact.
  • Conduct assessments for Vascular Access Management to support both Vascular Care and Vascular Access sales teams.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree (BSN preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of general nursing experience, including 3 years of experience in ultrasound-guided vascular access device placement (PICC & midline).
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven training capabilities to conduct educational programs.
  • Persuasive and credible, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • In-depth understanding of infusion therapy, vascular access, and key disease states relevant to MDS products.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
