Physical Therapy Assistant Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement prescribed physical therapy treatment programs as delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare practitioners to obtain additional information and integrate input into treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Provide training to patients and staff on specified follow-through programs.
- Participate in care plan/team meetings and attend educational programs as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- New York State license or eligibility for licensure.
- Knowledge of ambulatory aides and therapeutic exercises.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will be required to demonstrate standard pivot transfers with weight-bearing individuals, two-person lift transfers of non-weight-bearing individuals, and the ability to utilize a mechanical lifter as needed.
