Recreation Leader - Kidz Kamp Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and kids-oriented Recreation Leaders to staff our annual kids camp programs. As a Recreation Leader, you will work during the Gilbert Public School's seasonal school breaks, helping kids enjoy activities such as arts & crafts, music, science, drama, dance, sports, games, special events, and field trips.

About the Job

This is a seasonal/ temporary position that requires a strong initiative, energetic personality, great interpersonal skills, patience with children, and creativity in the program areas mentioned above. You must be available for the entire season.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and implement structured recreation activities for children
  • Assist with daily program operations and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for participants
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and community members
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Age requirement: Must be 16+ years old
  • Six months of experience assisting with recreation programs preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the job
  • Possess and maintain Red Cross certificates for CPR and Standard First Aid
