Gordon Food Service is seeking a highly skilled Profit Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in evaluating customer profitability and analyzing sales and margin results to inform sound decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain profitability and predictive models based on sales input and evaluate post-onboarding customer profitability through lookback reviews and implementation of action steps.
  • Support the LRP/AOP/Forecast processes and identify, track, and margin optimization initiatives.
  • Perform month-end review process, including preparing month-end presentations for senior teams and maintaining Anaplan in collaboration with Home Office.
  • Prepare sales and margin input for the re-forecast process and analyze and provide insights on the behavior of various sales price and margin components.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to ensure the Profit team is complementing their endeavors while avoiding redundancy in efforts.

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and analysis, as well as experience manipulating large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of general accounting cycle, with ability to journalize and reconcile activity that flows through the trial balance, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Mathematical skills, including arithmetic, measures, statistics, and money management.
  • Self-management skills, including self-direction, distraction, repetition, prioritization, and responsibility for own actions.
  • Strong knowledge base of Microsoft Office products and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a strong mathematical and analytical background, basic accounting, and understanding of general business operations.
  • Proven ability to analyze performance, create an ROI, and translate that to business recommendations.

Location:

  • 1300 Gezon Pkwy, Wyoming, MI 49509
  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
  • Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
