Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Emissions Lab Technician to join our team at Tech Providers. As an Emissions Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting emission tests on vehicles, ensuring accuracy and conclusiveness of test results, and managing test data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Emission Testing: Conduct emission tests on vehicles, including exhaust emissions, road testing, and miscellaneous testing in a climatic chamber.
  • Test Data Management: Manage test data, both paper and digital media, and report results to the Emissions Lab Manager for further evaluation and feedback.
  • Instrumentation Calibration: Ensure the accuracy of calibration work on instrumentation of emission test equipment.
  • Test Cell Operations: Operate and control test cell systems.
Work Environment:
  • Shift Work: Work in a 2-shift operation, with mandatory PM shift for 6 months of the year.
  • Flexibility: Be open to working both shifts and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Work Schedule: Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and overtime.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong interest in a progressive career.
  • Skills: Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles, basic/intermediate Microsoft Office skills, high organization and dependability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Automotive Experience: Recent experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on emission testing processes.
  • Language Skills: Solid knowledge of the English language, with German and/or Spanish language skills a plus.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including ALL MS Office applications.
