At Kett Engineering Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Emissions Professional to join our team as a Vehicle Testing Expert. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for conducting emission tests on vehicles, ensuring accuracy and conclusiveness of test results, and managing test data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and controlling test cell systems, ensuring the accuracy of calibration work on instrumentation of emission test equipment, and reporting results to the Emissions Lab Manager for further evaluation and feedback. Additionally, the Emissions Professional will be required to ensure the accuracy of emission testing processes, including road testing, misc. testing in a climatic chamber, and operating and controlling test cell systems.

We are looking for someone with a strong ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, with a basic/ intermediate ability with Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills. Furthermore, the candidate should have a high bias for action, be highly motivated, and demonstrate flexibility to work under pressure and multi-task.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and the required skills and qualifications. Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of automotive industry experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Basic/ intermediate ability with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Recent Automotive experience
  • Solid knowledge of the English language

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of emission testing processes
  • Formal Customer Service Training
  • Extensive Volkswagen and/or Audi diagnostic experience including VAS testers
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
  • Proficiency with ALL MS Office applications

Work Schedule:** The work schedule for this position is based on business requirements, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position requires occasional Saturday and occasional overtime, including 6 months of PM shift mandatory work hours.
