Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President & Controller to oversee and manage our day-to-day financial operations. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting records and internal controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, payroll, bank reconciliations, audit, insurance and tax reports, and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare all schedules and work with the external audit firm to ensure a smooth, accurate, and timely annual financial audit.
  • Provide information to external audit firms to enable the preparation of Form 990 and any other statutory reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly close of international Country Office General Ledger.
  • Provide leadership to Regional Finance staff through effective communication, review, and support.
  • Analyze company financial results with respect to revenue trends, costs, and compliance with budget.
  • Maintain a two-week and six-month rolling cash flow model and keep management updated.
  • Assist the CFO and Vice President, Budget & Fiscal Compliance in financial planning and results management.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting required; graduate degree a plus.
  • CPA is required; years of progressive financial accounting experience required.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with accounting systems required; NetSuite experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
  • Facilitates change by encouraging others to seek opportunities for new approaches to addressing problems and opportunities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor staff during organizational development and transitions.
