Job Title: Licensed Surveyor

Timmons Group is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey Group in Staunton, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects and client accounts, ensuring technical quality, profitability, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of design-related surveying projects using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology.
  • Client Development: Foster strong relationships with clients, identify opportunities for cross-selling, and maintain superior client satisfaction.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop and negotiate scopes and fees, manage billing, and ensure timely collection of fees.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform calculations using surveying formulas and skills, and utilize computers to solve problems.
  • Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader, clients, staff, and internal design team.
Requirements:
  • Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent CAD software experience.
  • Leica, Trimble, or equivalent survey data reduction software experience.
  • Machine Control Models creation experience.
  • GPS/RTK technology utilization experience.
  • Preference given to those with Laser Scanning Technology experience.
  • Strong project accounting skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in client development and supervision of technical work.
  • Working knowledge of technical and office support software.
