Position Overview:

Your Responsibilities:
As a Logistics and Terminal Operations Coordinator, you will be tasked with optimizing the movement of bulk materials between terminals and various shipping locations. Your role will include:

1. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive logistics strategy for bulk material transportation.

2. Ensuring the efficient utilization of terminals and equipment (including mobile unloaders, railcars, and blenders) to fulfill sales demands.

3. Collaborating with barge and rail carriers, terminal operators, and maintenance teams to minimize supply chain interruptions.

4. Preparing detailed weekly and monthly fleet reports that focus on detention times, cycle times, and cargo capacity utilization.

5. Accurately tracking and reporting monthly accruals to the accounting department.

6. Monitoring daily shipments to guarantee smooth operations across all lanes.

7. Acting as a crucial link between sales, carriers, and operational teams.

8. Building and nurturing strong relationships with barge, truck, and rail carriers.

9. Working alongside internal sales and transportation providers to explore new opportunities in key markets.

10. Assisting in the evaluation and execution of asset and property leases to enhance material movement efficiency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in the industry, particularly in rail logistics.

- Strong organizational and communication skills, along with analytical and decision-making capabilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and transportation carriers, maintain confidentiality, and respond promptly under pressure.
