Position Purpose for Heavy Equipment Technician

The role involves executing high-quality work on various brands of heavy machinery with maximum efficiency. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, maintaining company assets, and ensuring effective communication with team members.

Minimum Qualifications for Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Must be an Active Duty Service Member
  • Must be transitioning from the Military within 8-12 months
  • Ability to complete a maximum of 120 days of SkillBridge internship
  • Availability for 40 hours of work per week
  • Openness to learning and receiving constructive feedback
Physical Requirements for Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds without assistance
  • Physical capability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, hazardous materials, and fumes
  • Capacity to perform maintenance tasks for extended periods, involving continuous mounting and dismounting
  • Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and maintenance of individual PPE in good condition
