Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Lead to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment, creating teamwork amongst your shift and across shift lines, and leading by example to make things better for everyone associated with our company.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure everyone is aware of the daily workload and any changes.
  • Analyze head count for workload and make adjustments as necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitor doors and ensure inbound and outbound procedures are followed.
  • Work closely with office staff to ensure a consistent workflow to the floor.
  • Verify Hot List loads and monitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and productive manner and assist operators with daily tasks.
  • Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and damages are taken care of.
  • Back up the supervisor in their absence and provide training and progressive training of forklift operators.
  • Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner.
Requirements
  • A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment.
  • Strong Leadership and Inter-Personal skills.
  • The successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck training program.
  • The ability to use standard office technology such as a computer, copier/fax machine, and phone system.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effectively read, write, and speak English.
