Job Summary

Central Region Cooperative is seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our agronomy team, you will be responsible for operating equipment to apply chemical and fertilizer to farm fields, maintaining machinery and equipment, and delivering essential resources to our operators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate tractors, semi-trucks, grain trucks, loaders, and conveyors to apply chemical and fertilizer to farm fields.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Resource Delivery: Deliver fertilizer, chemical, water, and anhydrous to operators in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist with chemical and seed warehouse activities, including filling anhydrous tanks and maintaining inventory.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 75lbs, climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins, and work in confined spaces.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with others and follow directions.
  • Agricultural Background: Previous experience in agriculture preferred but not required.
