Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Commissioning Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all systems and components of our commercial construction projects are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to establish commissioning goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage commissioning activities, verifying compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Oversee the verification and functional performance testing of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all systems are correctly installed and operational, identifying and troubleshooting any issues during the commissioning process.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test scripts, test plans, checklists, reports, and logs.
  • Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities, findings, and resolutions, providing regular progress updates and final commissioning reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications throughout the commissioning process, conducting site inspections to verify the quality and completeness of installed systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all commissioning-related activities, collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities with overall project schedules.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the commissioning process.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of relevant construction project or preconstruction experience.
  • College graduate with a relevant degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • Formal Commissioning (Cx) credentials from a recognized organization, such as the University of Washington, Building Commissioning Association, Association of Energy Engineers, American Council for Construction Education, or American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
  • Experience using construction technologies, such as Excel, Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit, is a plus.
