Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of MRI procedures and departmental support functions under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor.
- Conduct MRI examinations of the brain, body, spine, and extremities on patients of all ages, adjusting scanning parameters for different patient body habitus.
- Determine appropriate equipment for scanning, including body coils, and identify gross pathology in the human body.
- Adjust parameters of equipment to minimize risk factors to self and patient, and follow established protocols for scanning techniques.
- Start and remove IV lines for contrast studies per established departmental policy and procedure.
- Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examination to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient.
- Maintain daily patient MRI log documenting correctly and accurately patient information to ensure the quality of patient care.
- Perform proper computer skills and show working knowledge of patient orders, status changes, patient charges, and profiles.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience to include on-the-job training and internships as an MRI technologist, OR registry eligible ARRT advanced certification in MRI required.
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or MRI Accredited Certificate Program required.
- Proficiency in applicable computer software and ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
