Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Technologist III to join our team at St. Lukes HealthThe Vintage Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac catheterization lab, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, including interaction and time management, independent problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure a professional and patient-oriented departmental atmosphere to enhance patient care.
  • Manage staff and room activities to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments within the room to ensure technical role assignments are responsive to patient needs and reflective of staff member abilities.
  • Make suggestions for staffing and procedural changes and collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Work with the schedule coordinator, managers, supervisors, and other room leaders to facilitate departmental productivity.
  • Initiate actions to minimize case delays and report schedule information promptly to the schedule coordinator and other appropriate personnel.
  • Operate radiographic equipment using radiation safety procedures.
  • Operate physiologic recorder/database system with expertise, recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Develop cines when necessary according to policy.
  • Recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in the room. Report malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve.
  • Exhibit a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and interpret data gathered during procedures, recognizing potential implications in patient care or complications.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RTR), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).
  • CPR/BLS.
  • Minimum five (5) years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Documented expertise and successful completion of specialty training areas and skills checklist for at least two of the following: EP, interventional, scrub assist for AAA procedures, or radiographic/digital imaging technique.
