Job Title: Senior Collector

The Senior Collector is a critical role within our organization, responsible for collecting past due contract payments and fees through effective communication and negotiation. This position requires a strong understanding of financial recovery procedures and a commitment to maintaining respectful and professional relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a working knowledge of financing contracts, including loans, leases, and purchase orders.
  • Attempt to contact all assigned contracts daily, prioritizing those defined by management.
  • Send letters, emails, and texts as required by procedures.
  • Escalate through collection procedures in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate past due fees within approval authority guidelines.
  • Project delinquency of assigned contracts each month.
  • Input payments received over the phone into the system for processing.
  • Determine when a contract is uncollectable and recommend transfer to Recovery/Legal.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Contract Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
