YU & Associates Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resource Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Support various phases of water/wastewater design projects, including planning, design, and management.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, opinions, and recommendations based on research, analysis, and interpretation of studies.
- Manage water resource aspects of project budgets and deadlines.
- Lead project design efforts and coordinate with design teams.
- Draft and design plans as necessary using Civil3D software.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and maintain positive relationships.
- Meet internal and external deadlines and coordinate with other teams or groups to ensure resource management.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to water resource engineering.
- Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, with a concentration in Water Resources preferred.
- PE License in New Jersey and/or New York required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in stormwater management systems, wastewater/sanitary systems, and project permitting.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Skilled with CAD/Design Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3d, Inroads/Openroads).
- Knowledge of stormwater modeling software such as CivilStorm or StormCAD required.
- Strong knowledge of hydrology and stormwater and green infrastructure design.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
