NASA Technology Transfer System Software Engineer

Qualified Technical Services (QTS) is seeking an Early Career Full Stack Software Engineer to develop new capabilities and extend the existing features of the NASA Technology Transfer System (NTTS) software platform. The successful candidate will work on diverse range of NASA web-enabled IT/data systems for supporting and streamlining technology transfer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new capabilities and extend existing features of the NTTS software platform
  • Work on diverse range of NASA web-enabled IT/data systems
  • Support and streamline technology transfer

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other software intensive disciplines
  • Up to 2 years of technical work experience, including time spent on academic software development and/or contribution to open-source software projects
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON
  • Knowledge of Angular framework
  • PHP or Python
  • Practical knowledge of asynchronous communication between client/server
  • Experience developing web applications on Linux based platforms
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines (VM) and/or Container technologies
  • Configuration management experience with systems such as git, bitbucket
