Overview:
The Mortgage Branch Manager is accountable for overseeing the sales initiatives and overall performance of the branch. This role involves guiding and evaluating the sales team while actively promoting the loan products available through the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate, and assess all sales personnel, branch operations, and staff development activities to enhance sales output, market presence, and satisfaction levels for both customers and employees.
- Formulate forecasts, financial targets, and strategic business plans.
- Evaluate the performance of sales staff and assist in establishing professional development goals for team members.
- Ensure the team adheres to the highest ethical standards and maintains exemplary professional conduct.
- Leverage expertise, training, and experience to effectively market and advocate for the company’s loan offerings.
- Guarantee strict adherence to regulatory compliance in all transactions.
- Engage in ongoing education and licensing requirements.
- Stay informed on market trends that impact the company’s loan products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education:
High School Diploma
Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Arts (BA)
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage loan origination.
- Previous experience with automated Loan Origination Systems.
- Must consistently meet all qualifications and standards for Loan Officer Licensure as mandated by the SAFE Act, including remaining current on all registration, licensing, and training obligations.
- Proven track record in developing retail mortgage business through referral networks.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control Compliance.
- Demonstrated success in building, leading, and motivating a high-performing sales team.
- Current knowledge of mortgage banking regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
- Effective team development and coaching skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Adaptability to rapid changes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
