About the Position:
The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota is inviting applications for part-time positions for Academic Instructors and Senior Academic Instructors within the Finance department for the upcoming academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructors will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and assisting in the Finance department, contributing to the academic growth of students.
Compensation: $3,000 per teaching credit.
Qualifications:
Teaching Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a relevant field.
Senior Teaching Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of teaching experience in a closely related industry and/or academic field, including at least 4 years of formal teaching.
Lecturer Requirements:
- Terminal degree OR Master's degree with 5 years of relevant industry and/or academic experience.
Senior Lecturer Requirements:
- Terminal degree with 10 years of relevant industry and/or academic experience OR Master's degree with 15 years of relevant industry and/or academic experience.
About the Department:
The Finance Department at the Carlson School is dedicated to understanding financial decisions, markets, and institutions. Faculty research in these areas is recognized globally and has been published in leading finance and economics journals. The department emphasizes quality teaching at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels.
