Job Title: Contracted Faculty of Practice

Concordia University, St. Paul is seeking a Contracted Faculty of Practice to teach Multicultural Graphic Design. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Art History and a passion for teaching.

Job Summary:

The Contracted Faculty of Practice will be responsible for teaching Multicultural Graphic Design, a course that aims to expand the design canon by exploring diverse global perspectives. The instructor will facilitate quality student learning, increase student engagement, and provide timely feedback on course assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Multicultural Graphic Design, a course that explores the history-rich world of graphic design through diverse global perspectives.
  • Facilitate quality student learning through teaching assigned courses.
  • Increase student course engagement by providing a positive and regular presence within the course.
  • Provide substantive and timely feedback on course assessments.
  • Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively in a supportive academic environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of BFA in Art History from an accredited institution, plus a minimum of 5 years relevant professional or teaching experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years professional experience, experience working in a Mac-based lab environment, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
