Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from adult and pediatric patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture
- Identify and label specimens accurately, ensuring timely and efficient processing
- Communicate effectively with patients, laboratory staff, and medical staff to ensure seamless care
- Participate in the instruction of new personnel, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
- Perform EKG and spirometry procedures, as well as other related tasks, to support patient care
Requirements:
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (additional education may be substituted for minimum experience requirement)
- Certification from an accredited phlebotomy diploma program (preferred)
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a medical group and laboratory environment
