Position Overview: The role entails providing administrative and clerical assistance to the commercial division. The analyst evaluates risk and ensures adherence to both regulatory and internal policies. Effective communication is essential, both within the organization and with external stakeholders, to guarantee high-quality service. The position also involves monitoring and managing the commercial loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Commercial Loan Officers in maintaining accounts and liaising with borrowers. Ensure member files are current, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and all necessary loan documentation.
- Proactively manage the loan pipeline to meet expectations, providing updates on progress to members and internal teams with minimal supervision from the Commercial Supervisor.
- Examine commercial loan packet files to confirm completeness of applications. Validate borrower assets and liabilities, collaborating with members and vendors to gather required documentation, while reviewing for accuracy.
- Monitor loan maturities, renewals, and compliance with covenants to ensure adherence to loan agreements. Ensure necessary deeds are filed or released, and that tax and insurance requirements are current.
- Conduct reviews of files for compliance with regulatory and internal standards, submitting accurate files for final approval.
- Send notifications and follow up on periodic loan review documentation.
- Disburse loan funds and file loan documents with the relevant parties as required.
- Assist members with inquiries related to loans or accounts.
- Input and maintain precise loan information within computer systems.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: A minimum of five years in a similar or related role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Interpersonal Skills: The position requires significant personal interaction with individuals both inside and outside the organization, focusing on conflict resolution, relationship building, and cooperation. Discussions often involve confidentiality and discretion, necessitating diplomacy in communication.
- Additional Skills: Proficiency in analyzing business financial statements is essential; excellent communication and public relations skills are required; familiarity with relevant software is necessary.
- Work Environment: This position is not eligible for remote work.
