Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. As a NICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient and family.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness throughout the care continuum.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in neonatal care, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the US.
  • At least two years of concurrent full-time Level III NICU experience within the last three years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Valid, unrestricted RN license.
