Key Responsibilities of the Financial Projects Accountant include:

  • Preparation or assistance in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
  • Analysis and reconciliation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures
  • Conducting financial modeling to forecast future financial performance
  • Intercompany reconciliations for both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Investigating and rectifying discrepancies
  • Highlighting variances to budget to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Treasury/AP/AR teams to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Supporting internal and external group and statutory audits
  • Assisting in the annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts in collaboration with stakeholders and managers
  • Identifying relevant best practices from both internal and external sources
  • Facilitating the implementation of new technologies to enhance financial operations

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) – completed exams and experience
  • Experience in a financial reporting setting within a medium-sized or large organization
  • Proven capability to manage workload effectively, ensuring proper prioritization of tasks
  • Strong understanding of management and financial accounting principles
  • In-depth knowledge of the primary Microsoft applications
  • Experience within the Financial sector is preferred
