Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technician (Administrative support) to join our team at ActOne Group in Washington, DC. As a Medical Technician, you will work closely with the lead nurse, Medical Officer, and other members of the medical staff to provide administrative support and ensure the smooth operation of our medical services unit.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule pre-employment physicals, periodic exams, and medical consultations, and work closely with Human Capital Recruiters to ensure a seamless medical process.
  • Assist with the onboarding process by coordinating drug screenings, ensuring change of custody forms are completed properly, and communicating with the laboratory concerning forms and results.
  • Maintain knowledge of conferences, appointments, trips, and telephone calls, and remind the supervisor of such commitments.
  • Compose correspondence of a routine and non-technical nature based on oral instructions, brief notes, and information readily available in the files.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Office Assistant training or certification.
  • Proven working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, vocabulary, formats, and policies to complete various correspondence.
  • Proven working knowledge and experience of clerical procedures to maintain files, order supplies, route mail, answer telephones, and computer skills.
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with others.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven working knowledge or experience in using an electronic medical records system.
  • Experience using HC Dashboard.

Benefits begin on the first day of the month following one full month worked on an approved SCA applicable federally funded assignment as a full-time (30 hours or more per week) non-exempt ActOne Group Federal Service Contract Associate.

Prior to the first day of health benefits, all employer contributions will be deposited into a 401(k) on the scheduled contribution date.
