Early Childhood Lead Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our team at the Young Mens Christian Association of Rochester. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing daily programs for young children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development in young children.
• Lead daily classroom activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
• Cultivate positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and continuing education requirements.

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• At least one year of experience working with infants and toddlers, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum design, and instructional strategies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
