Your New Role

As the Laser Development Scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and specification of products from research and development to engineering plan stage to product manufacturability. You will ensure that the product conforms to TOPTICA's high standard of performance, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify products from research and development to engineering plan stage to product manufacturability
  • Ensure product conformity to TOPTICA's high standard of performance, quality, and reliability
  • Build and characterize early prototypes
  • Specify and outfit dedicated manufacturing space with necessary workstations, fixturing, and instrumentation
Education and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in physics, optics, or relevant scientific discipline; Ph.D. preferred
  • Significant experience and skill in hands-on work with lasers and optical techniques
  • Unrestricted right to work in the United States
  • Experience with optical parametric oscillators and/or integrated photonics, preferred
  • Skills in electronics and/or software for controls and analysis, preferred
