Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Multifamily Financial Engineering Model Advisor to join our team at Fannie Mae. As a valued contributor, you will advise the team responsible for applying mathematical models, advanced tools, and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results.

Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques.
  • Determine customer's intended uses for a financial analysis or model.
  • Apply complex solutions to financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.
  • Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.
  • Provide advanced solutions to model builders to vet new models, suggest changes to existing models, or analyze model performance data.
  • Analyze results from data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 6 years of experience in financial engineering, modeling, and analysis. Key skills include expertise in statistical methods, business insight, communication, risk assessment and management, programming, and experience in cloud technologies.

Desired experiences include a bachelor's degree or equivalent, statistical and AI/ML modeling, corporate finance knowledge, and analytics experience.
