Director of Quality Engineering

Location: Westlake, TX

HYBRID: 2 weeks per month in office

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Director of Quality Engineering to join our HealthCare Technology Group. This key leadership role will be responsible for designing and implementing testing automation tools and frameworks to support product delivery and analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in leading large teams.

The Team

The Health Care Technology Group delivers innovative digital solutions to help Fidelity's clients and participants meet their healthcare needs. Our team is adopting DevOps and Agile delivery models, and the Quality Engineering organization plays a critical role in ensuring products are built with the highest quality standards.

The Expertise You Have

  • Proven experience in leading large teams and collaborating with business partners, architects, and Agile delivery teams.
  • Strong technical skills in designing and implementing testing automation tools and frameworks.
  • 8+ years of industry experience in software engineering or quality engineering, with a focus on test automation.
  • BS degree in computer science or an engineering field, with relevant work experience in the healthcare space.

  • Motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

The Value You Deliver

  • Work with Agile delivery teams to evaluate existing test automation backlogs and implement concrete plans to reduce those items.
  • Support evaluating the best test automation tools and frameworks and implement a plan to reduce testing cycle time while increasing test coverage transparency.
  • Partner with business teams to investigate opportunities for collaboration and holistic testing approaches for efficiency gains and maximum coverage.
  • Use data and metrics to measure test automation progress and effectiveness and seek out ways to improve.
