Reliability Engineer Job Description

At Spencer Ogden, we are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs to minimize equipment downtime and optimize maintenance activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance planning.
  • Develop and maintain condition monitoring programs to detect potential equipment failures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel to ensure effective equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and tools, including RCM, RCA, FMEA, and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with CMMS and condition monitoring technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
