Job Summary

The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Ambulatory Pharmacy setting. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to patients, including therapeutic drug monitoring, medication distribution, and education. You will also be responsible for daily operations of the pharmacy and supporting medication distribution, education, and collaboration with Iowa River Landing clinics and staff.

Responsibilities

* Provides therapeutic drug monitoring on clinic-administered medications and take-home prescription orders.
* Documents all patient care activities performed.
* Coordinates patient communications and interactions.
* Facilitates operational initiatives which lead to enhanced patient care services.
* Provides educational services.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required.
* One (1) year of pharmacy experience is preferred. Prior work and student rotational experience will be considered.
* Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
* Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
