About the Role

The Practical Nursing Program Director will oversee the daily operation, accreditation, and regulation requirements of the program. This includes providing direction and leadership to establish goals for the program that comply with the mission and vision of the College, department, and health care profession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management and supervision of the program.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and hire program-specific faculty.
  • Manage department budget and provide input to the Director of Nursing on program budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations and community partners.
  • Provide quality instruction and assessment of student learning.
  • Participate in department and college-wide committees and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Current unrestricted Missouri State License as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Two years of experience within the last five years in nursing education, clinical practice, or administration.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Experience in a leadership role in a professional organization.
  • Experience working within a collegiate setting.

Work Environment
