About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telehealth Nurse to join our team at Patient First. As a Telehealth Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and service through our telehealth platform.

Responsibilities
  • Follow established Patient First telehealth policies and procedures to ensure exceptional patient experiences.
  • Consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills, including quality care, concern, and professionalism.
  • Receive inbound calls and make outbound calls to engage with patients and provide medical guidance.
  • Perform comprehensive telephonic patient assessments to identify needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and guidelines while providing patients with clear instructions and support.
  • Access Emergency Medical Services when necessary and complete documentation of telephonic conversations.
  • Monitor and follow up on failed faxes to pharmacies and maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA standards.
  • Utilize the Language Line as needed and fax medical records to specialists and Primary Care Physicians' offices while adhering to Patient First Release of Information and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Add reminders to patients' medical records as needed and update demographic information, preferred pharmacy, or HIPAA Special Requests.
  • Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of refills as ordered by the Physician or Extender.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Registered nurse graduate of an approved school of nursing with current state licenses for Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience with Patient First preferred.
  • Experience dealing with the public in a customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and automated call distributor telecommunication systems.
  • Ability to meet or exceed quantified performance standards related to calls and provide high-quality medical care and professionalism.
  • Commitment to patient satisfaction and quality care.
