At CorVel, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telephonic Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management solutions team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to injured workers across the United States.

About the Role:

This is a remote opportunity that requires a high level of autonomy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing injured workers over the phone, making treatment recommendations, and educating them on self-care instructions. Your expertise in triage protocols and experience in occupational medicine will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide telephonic assessments and make treatment recommendations using national triage protocols
  • Educate injured workers on self-care instructions based on triage protocols
  • Communicate plans of care to customer contacts and supervisors
  • Evaluate injured workers' responses to first aid recommendations within specified timeframes
  • Document clinical assessments in organized formats and submit written reports within specified deadlines
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A diploma or Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
  • Current RN licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, emergency rooms, or home healthcare (telephone triage/Workers' Compensation experience a plus)
