Job Description

Job Summary:

The Puerto Rican Cultural Center (PRCC) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily oversight of the program's operations, including expanding community partnerships for outreach, enhancement of prevention, and education messaging related to the specific grant needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement program protocols and procedures
  • Provide leadership for all project activities, including day-to-day operations of the program
  • Provide oversight of program-specific worksites
  • Assist in creating and monitoring internal reporting and evaluation methods to ensure that goals and objectives are met
  • Report progress and require reporting for funders and PRCC senior management, ensuring programmatic goals and objectives fidelity
  • Establish program partnerships to disseminate services
  • Create processes to identify and recruit participants and volunteers
  • Promote our services and outreach
  • Conduct HIV risk reduction group interventions
  • Conduct "Windshield" Surveys
  • Flexibility to cross-training, HIV testing, outreach, case management, marketing & social media, vouchering, referrals, scopes, linkage to care
  • Assist other Program Coordinators when needed
  • Learn to use Canva Platform
  • Attend the PRCC and program-specific and organizational activities and meetings, including, but not limited to, the monthly organization-wide General Assembly
  • Participate in organizational annual events including, but not limited to the Puerto Rican People's Parade, Fiesta Boricua, Three Kings Day, and Haunted Paseo Boricua
  • Perform other functions assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience working with the target population
  • Experience in Program Coordination
  • Knowledge about HIV is needed
  • Knowledge of Event Management is preferred
  • Experience working with the LGBTQ+ community
  • Flexibility in hours worked
  • Experience working with teenagers from 12-18 years old
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

OSHA Category 1 – Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.
