About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team at Worldpay. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications running on IBM z/OS mainframes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications for mainframe environments
  • Collaborate with product managers and users to define business requirements and turn them into technical solutions
  • Deploy new features into production with zero platform downtime and no impact to end customers
  • Work in a team-focused culture where strong collaboration and communication are critical
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience developing enterprise solutions in an IBM mainframe environment
  • 3 or more years of experience programming in IBM Assembler language
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM mainframe environments
  • Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards
  • Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations, and operations
  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or other related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Ability to quickly grasp high-level business goals, derive requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Ability to fluidly change context and priorities based on changing business needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Developing in an online, multi-threaded, transaction processing environment
  • Developing in Java, particularly in the z/OS environment
  • Hardware security modules (HSMs) and cryptographic processing
  • z/OS Unix System Services (USS)
  • Designing and building RESTful APIs
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Administration of applications running in Unix/Linux environments
