Supervisor Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Clinic to join our team at Advocate Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of assigned departments to ensure efficient use of resources, effective workforce management, and overall maintenance of departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct departmental operations to ensure efficient use of resources and effective workforce management.
- Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures related to departmental operations.
- Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to provide a conduit for communication of clinic initiatives, KRA data, and necessary information to associates and physicians.
- Perform interviewing, hiring, corrective action, and termination activities in partnership with manager/director and HR.
- Participate in and encourage process improvement to positively impact Key Results Areas.
- Engage and encourage associates while executing process improvement initiatives within departments.
- Oversee and carry out standard work audits to ensure associate, Team Lead, and provider compliance.
- Ensure visual management is maintained and shares with associates to support sustainment and accurate data collection.
- Continually evaluate metrics and department performance utilizing visual management.
- Execute administrative accountabilities in support of manager/director and department.
- Maintain organized department records and data.
- Support and maintain a Culture of Safety.
- Collect statistics and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reports and shares data with physicians and associates.
- Keep open line of communication with manager/director and department chair on key issues regarding department, associates, and providers.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- 3 years nursing experience.
- 2 years lead/supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills.
- Professional communication and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of clinic staff and management.
- Functional PC skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledgeable of required EMR and PC software to perform tasks.
- Evidence of management skills: good judgment, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work.
- Strong clinical knowledge essential to discipline.
- Previous experience in mentoring/training associates.
- Ability to understand financial statements, budget planning, project planning concepts.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical (and physical lift test, if required by department policy).
- Must be able to travel to various Dreyer locations.
- Must be flexible to meet accountabilities of workforce coverage.
- Proven ability to work under time pressures and meet deadlines.
